People who stop by the gallery tell us it feels like Austin in here. We proudly display original artwork by local painters, photographers and artisans whose passion is showing you our town through their eyes. At the heart of our collection is the work of Mary Doerr, whose rich, detailed watercolors capture the heart and soul of our favorite places along with the unique spirit that’s kept Austin weird for generations. Today, Robin and Bud will be found assisting customers with Austin art and custom framing.
Catch the spirit of Austin
You know what makes Austin home. It’s the Capitol and the UT Tower. It’s Barton Springs and the County Line. It’s the Zilker tree, the Fourth of July fireworks, summer on the lakes. You’ll find it all on our gallery walls – and you’ll find yourself smiling as you browse through the images that make Austin and your own history come alive for you.
Take a little Texas home
From Texas limestone to rustic steel, custom-etched glass and handmade pottery and jewelry, we have a selection of gifts as big as the Lone Star State. Take some time to browse through the gallery’s carefully chosen pieces and find just the present you were searching for. We won’t tell if it turns out to be something just for you.
Come in for the art.
Come back for the hospitality
Images of Austin is located in a new corner of Old Austin: the building with the blue awnings at 5933 Burnet Road. We bet you know the place. It’s a great location we share with other local businesses from Tom’s Dive & Swim to the Turquoise Trading Post. We hope it’s a convenient spot for you to drop in with a new framing project or hunt for some new local art. You could even bring a friend and make a day out of rediscovering all the shops nearby. (We think you could find just about anything you wanted on Burnet Road.)
Whatever your reason for stopping by, we hope you’ll come back often. We pride ourselves on being as original as Austin and as friendly as Texas, satisfaction guaranteed.
